Pipe Pulley Thread Forming

A collection of specialized HSS tap styles for pipe threading, pulley set-screw applications, and chipless thread forming. Available in NPT, NPTF Dryseal, NPS, NC, and NF thread standards.

Thread Forming: Rather than cutting material away, thread forming taps displace it, cold-forming the thread into the hole wall. This produces a stronger thread with no chips to evacuate — ideal for ductile materials and ensures no chip-related jams in blind holes.

Pipe Taps (NPT/NPTF/NPS): Tapered pipe taps cut threads that seal on the taper itself, standard for plumbing and fluid-fitting connections. NPTF Dryseal variants seal without additional sealant; interrupted-thread versions reduce torque and improve chip control in deeper holes.

Pulley Taps: Designed specifically for the shallow, often through-drilled holes used in set-screw applications on pulleys and hubs.
