Privacy Policy and Cookies

This policy explains how Atlas Cutting Tools, LLC (“Atlas,” “we,” “us”) handles information through our website, customer accounts, orders, quotations and customer communications.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, order products, request a quote or tool service, or contact us. Depending on the interaction, this may include:

• Your name, business name, email address and other contact details you provide.
• Billing and shipping addresses, carrier-account details, purchase-order references, account preferences, order history and invoice information.
• Tool specifications, quantities, drawings, photographs, attachments and other information provided for a quotation, resharpening or support request.
• Payment and transaction information handled through the store and its payment-service providers.

Our website and technology providers also collect device, browser and network information, such as IP addresses, browser or device identifiers, visited pages, search and product interactions, transaction events and security logs. Cookies and similar technologies support these activities.

Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or unrelated sensitive information in ordinary email or quote attachments. Provide only the information needed for your request.

2. How we use information

We use information to operate customer accounts; process orders, payments, shipping and invoices; review quotations and service requests; answer questions; maintain business and accounting records; protect the website; resolve problems; and improve product information and the customer experience.

We use AI-assisted and other automated tools to help extract information from emailed purchase orders and related communications and prepare orders for review. Staff approval is part of that order-preparation process. Technology providers supporting these functions may process the information needed to perform the service. This does not mean that every inquiry or uploaded document is automatically processed in the same way.

If we send optional marketing communications, you can ask us to stop them. We may still send communications needed for an order, account, invoice, service request or legal obligation.

3. Service providers and other disclosures

We use service providers to operate the business, including BigCommerce for ecommerce, payment processors, website and application hosting providers such as Amazon Web Services, email and business-system providers, analytics providers, and technology providers supporting order processing and customer service.

We disclose the information needed to manufacturers, service vendors and carriers to quote, fulfil or service an order, arrange delivery or resolve a related issue. For example, a shipping recipient’s name and address may be needed to send the order. This is different from providing a customer list for a vendor’s marketing.

We do not sell or rent customer lists, and we do not give customer lists to vendors for their marketing. Website analytics can still involve disclosure of online identifiers and activity to the provider, as described below.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of our services. Third-party services may have their own privacy policies for their activities.

4. Cookies, analytics and online tracking

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies. Essential functions include account sign-in, cart and checkout operation, preferences, security and fraud prevention.

We use Google Analytics and ecommerce measurement tools to understand website usage and events such as product views, searches, sign-ins, cart activity and purchases. Measurement may use browser or device identifiers and a customer-account identifier. These identifiers can link activity to a browser or account.

Our Google Analytics property is linked to Google Ads with personalized advertising enabled. Google services may use online identifiers and activity to support advertising measurement and personalization, subject to available consent controls and Google account settings.

Third-party technology providers may collect identifiers and usage information over time and across websites or services, subject to their settings and policies. Browser controls and provider choices may affect some of this collection. See Google’s Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics browser opt-out information.

You can review or block cookies through your browser settings and delete stored cookies. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in, cart or checkout features from working. Private browsing does not by itself guarantee that all analytics collection is stopped.

Cookie choices and browser signals

Use the cookie-consent banner to select the optional cookie categories you allow. Essential cookies support functions such as sign-in, cart, checkout and security. The choices apply through the store’s consent controls; browser settings and Google’s controls described above provide additional options.

Automatic handling of Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control has not been verified across all store integrations. Do not assume a browser signal alone has changed every integration’s tracking settings. You can email sales@atlascuttingtools.com with a privacy or opt-out request. Applicable legal requirements continue to apply.

5. Access, correction and privacy requests

You can review available account details through your signed-in Atlas account. To request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to ask about information use and disclosure, email sales@atlascuttingtools.com. You do not need to create an account to contact us about privacy.

We may need reasonable information to verify a request involving access to or deletion of personal information and protect it from unauthorized disclosure. Some information must be retained for order fulfilment, accounting, legal obligations, security or dispute handling. We will explain relevant limitations when responding.

Depending on your location and applicable law, additional privacy rights may be available, including rights relating to use, disclosure or targeted advertising. Contact us to make a request or ask about an available choice. We will handle applicable requests as required by law. This policy does not waive rights provided by law.

6. Retention, storage and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including service and order history, accounting, legal and tax obligations, security, and resolving disputes. Retention depends on the type of information and the reason for keeping it; backup copies may remain subject to their normal retention cycles.

Atlas and its providers use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the services. No website, email system or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Ordinary email may not be appropriate for highly sensitive information.

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. Provider arrangements and the services you use affect where processing takes place.

7. Other websites and business contacts

Links to third-party websites do not place those websites under Atlas’s control. Review the relevant provider’s privacy information before supplying information directly to it. Our services are intended for tool purchasers and business users, rather than being directed to children.
