Our HSS (High Speed Steel) Cap Screw Counterbores used to create a countersunk hole for a socket head capscrew. The tool typically has a pilot in the center to guide it to the exact position and a cutting edge that creates the countersink. The countersink allows the head of the screw to sit flush or below the surface of the material, which creates a smooth and finished look.
