HSS Bridgeport End Mills
Bridgeport-style end mills are large-diameter, keyway-shank tools designed to mount on an arbor rather than in a standard collet, making them well suited to shell-milling and facing work on Bridgeport-style knee mills and similar machines. Available in 2 flute stub and multiple flute (non-center-cutting) configurations.
Keyway Shank Mounting: The keyway on the shank engages with an arbor's drive key, transmitting torque for larger-diameter cuts that would overload a standard collet mount.
2 Flute Stub vs. Multiple Flute: The 2 flute stub version suits slotting and general-purpose work in this size range, while the multiple flute (non-center-cutting) option is built for facing and larger-diameter surface milling — note that non-center-cutting tools require a pre-drilled hole or ramped entry.
