Carbide Ball End Mills
Solid carbide ball end mills feature a fully rounded tip, making them the standard choice for 3D contour milling, die and mold work, and any application requiring a smooth, curved surface finish. Available in 2, 3, and 4 flute configurations, in ALTiN, TiCN, TiN, and uncoated options.
3D Profiling and Contouring: The rounded tip allows the tool to cut smooth, continuous curves and complex surfaces that a flat-bottom end mill can't produce cleanly, making ball end mills essential for die/mold work and organic shapes.
Flute Count Selection: 2 flute tools offer the best chip evacuation for softer materials and deeper cuts; 3 and 4 flute versions provide a smoother finish and are better suited to harder materials and finishing passes.
Coating Options: ALTiN and TiCN coatings extend tool life in hardened steels and abrasive materials, while TiN suits general-purpose work at lower cutting speeds. Uncoated tools remain a cost-effective choice for softer materials like aluminum.
