Atlas Cutting Tools stocks a full range of HSS taps in standard (inch) sizes, covering hand taps, spiral point, spiral flute, and high spiral styles. Available uncoated and in ALTiN, TiN, NIT/ST, and steam oxide finishes.
Spiral Point: Pushes chips forward ahead of the tap, suited to through-holes; available in plug and bottoming styles for different thread-depth needs.
Spiral Flute: Pulls chips back and out of the hole, making it the better choice for blind-hole tapping where chips have nowhere else to go.
Hand Taps: Straight-flute taps for manual or low-speed tapping, available in plug and bottoming styles for general-purpose shop use.
