Hand Taps: Straight-flute taps for general-purpose manual or low-speed machine tapping, available uncoated or with a TIN coating for extended tool life in harder materials.
Spiral Flute: Spiral flute taps pull chips up and out of the hole, making them well suited to blind-hole tapping where chips can't fall through to the far side.
