Double End Cobalt End Mills
Double end cobalt end mills have a cutting edge machined on both ends of the tool, effectively doubling the usable tool life and reducing cost per cutting edge compared to single-end designs. Available in 2 and 4 flute configurations, in both miniature and standard sizes.
Two Cutting Edges, One Tool: Once the first end wears out, simply flip the tool around and continue using the second cutting edge — ideal for shops looking to reduce tooling costs on high-volume or lower-precision work.
2 Flute vs. 4 Flute: 2 flute tools provide better chip evacuation in slotting and deeper cuts, while 4 flute tools offer a smoother finish and are better suited to profiling and lighter finishing passes.
